October – December 2026: resumption of fair trade programme raising funds to support artisan communities around the globe and giving people in the UK, young and old, opportunity to contribute to this work in a way that helps finance them getting to travel to meet the communities we work with around the world. 3. Fair Trade:
We have, and are building continuously, a fabulous range of artisan and craft gift items mainly produced by talented and committed women supporting their families and communities around the world. We have innovative ways in which different groups can get involved in promoting sales and in ways which generate income for themselves (an all win situation). Families and Communities, Business, Organisations and Shops- Women’s Institutes, Fair Trade outlets, shops and markets, Third Age, Education groups. All products are linked to projects designed to facilitate everybody being able to make difference.

4. Eco Tourism Eco Tourism:
Eco Tourism is the fastest growing area of tourism and tourism is the biggest industry in the world. It has huge potential to support and contribute to communities, nature and the environment globally. Done properly it can provide fabulous experiences for tourists and support local communities. The Fair Earth Foundation is currently developing a model of eco-tourism through which tourists can gain real insight into local cultures and help them to address their own social, nature and environmental concerns. People working together to make the change we all want to see.

We will launch our programmes focussed on Vietnam in October. In Vietnam we are working in the old quarter of the capital, Hanoi, an ancient trading centre. We will be offering courses, workshops, art and cultural experiences. We will also be offering programmes based in the Hill Tribe communities of the NW of Vietnam, particularly the Moung communities. We will roll out this model to other cities and countries around the world in 2027.

Our programme gives participants the opportunity to contribute and support not just individual artisans and communities but also important projects identified by them to address social, nature and environmental concerns. People working together to help make a difference, globally.

We want to work with: Families & Communities; Businesses and their employees; Women’s Institutes; Third Age Communities; Fair Trade outlets, and, of course Education providers, at all levels.

6. Global Souls:
Children’s Book launch, Hanoi, Vietnam October 2027

Our children are the future of our planet and as adults our prime responsibility in life is to leave them it in its best possible shape, and this includes helping prepare them (our children) to take on this vital stewardship role. This process involves giving them an awareness of their responsibility and empowering them with the tools and resources necessary to take action, to make the changes we all want to see; it also involves helping them to work with other children around the world, creating a community of Global Souls.

Vietnam has a rich tradition in story telling, its literature is a heady mix of Chinese and Indian influences with a strong indigenous Vietnamese contribution with its grounded approach in real events and people, in the importance given to nature and the environment and in the key role played by the feminine. Nguyen Du’s ‘The Song of Kieu’ should be a mandatory element in UK education as a basis for discussion on morals and ethics. It is a two hundred year old long poem and absolutely brilliant; it grabs attention and is a wonderful basis for discussion. There are many great story tellers in Vietnam as there are all over the world.

The Fair Earth Foundation will be bringing together a collection of twelve stories from around the world with an emphasis on children’s action, the need to support nature and the environment, and the importance of the feminine in the process. We will endeavour to print and sell up o 30,000 copies with proceeds bing allocated to children to invest in projects of their choice. The book and supporting projects will help children realise that they are part of a global network of Global Souls, children around the world working together to make a difference.

The collection will bring together stories from Australian aboriginals, North American Native Indian communities, South American tribal communities and SE Asian Hill Tribes as well as extraordinary stories from Africa, China, Persia, and Europe. All will share a vision of the future, and of children’s responsibility to it. Children have an innate understanding and desire of this but ‘society’ seems to have developed an infinite capacity to educate them out of this understanding as they grow into their teens. We aim to redress this situation.

We will build a website in parallel, at once a resource for all and also a means of empowering children to make a difference through their direct action. They will have a budget to direct funds as they feel best.

The book launch will bring together story tellers from around the world to a public event in Hanoi, a local coordinated school programme and a strong online presence to give the event a global reach.

It will be the start of something absolutely amazing.
