Supporting young people’s ideas to take action on local and global issues
Just as we believe young people are the means through which we have to create a better world, so we also believe that the communities within which they live have the possibility, and dare we say responsibility, to support them in their endeavours. Young people should be seen as Ambassadors for their communities affecting positive change in the world and connecting with communities globally.
What is Community?
We want to build communities surrounding local youth wanting to make a difference in the world. We want to help communities see their youth as Ambassadors going out into the world.
There are many elements that make up a community. We can offer support to each of them to help their community support local youth in many different ways- see below.
Family, Friends & Neighbours
We can encourage youth to network amongst the people who know them best- family, friends and neighbours; to get those closest to them to contribute the cause they are fighting for.
Local Media
We can work with local media- printed, radio, social to promote what they are attempting to do.
Local Clubs & Societies
We can approach local clubs and societies and identify collaborations through which they can contribute to the collective effort whilst probably supporting their own efforts in the process.
Individuals
Individuals are the prime movers of change. If you are an individual in a community and want to help affect change locally or globally then please contact us.
Local Schools, Colleges & Universities
We can approach local education providers too, especially where participating youth have connections, to get their support.
Finding Local Patrons to support local Youth
There must be individuals in every community who have the means and motivation to support local youth in becoming Ambassadors for their community and the vehicles for making a difference in the world. We can help find them.
